Ralph Tomaccio is a graduate of the prestigious Brooks Institute, School of Photographic Art and Science in Santa Barbara, California. He was the first in the region to attain Certified Professional Photographer status. His imagery has won numerous awards at all levels of competition and has earned both the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsmen degrees offered through the Professional Photographers of America. He is also the recipient of the National Award for his accomplishments and dedication to the Professional Photographers Association of Massachusetts (PPAM), as well as to the profession of photography.
While serving as President of PPAM, Ralph also served as President of the Professional Photographers Association of New England, giving him the unique distinction of being the first and only person to hold the presidency of both associations simultaneously. As a businessperson, Ralph believes you should give back to your community, and to your profession, some of what you have taken. In keeping with this philosophy, he has been a member of the Lions Club, Kiwanis, the Chamber of Commerce, and has served as director and president of the United Way of South Middlesex. With a strong desire to lecture effectively he has also been a member of Toastmaster's International. With the digital revolution taking place within the profession, and Ralph's early adoption of the technology, he is now excited to share his knowledge with his peers through convention programs and professional schools. Ralph is also an instructor at the New England School of Photography in Boston.
